Allergy Query

I was told three days ago my son had an allergy to his amoxicillin by his pediatrician.
--------- well its unusual. reactions are common that allergy. what was the reason for which amoxicillinw as given?

Yesterday his hands and feet were extremely tight and swollen,he didn't want to walk.
--------------- This can be common feature of allergy, but its more common as puffines of face. he may be breathless too.

I then took him to the ER where he was given a steroid shot and prescription for a steroid drug.
========= most allergies respond dramatically to steroid shots !

And today he just seems worse he cried all night that his feet hurt and again this morning.
======== its likely to be a dull pain that a sharp pain! they respond promptly to paracetamol, unless any other reason.

He is only three years old and I have tried everything I can think of to help him feel better(oatmeal baths, motrin, benadryl, and trying to keep him off his feet),
======== most important os to avoid allergens, it can be anything , not only amoxycillin!

He has had his hives for three days and his hand and feet continue to swell.
======= he will require steroids (oral for 3 days at least or longer! ) along with antihistaminics, all after consultation with a specialist.
At times allergy can be deadly liek anaphylaxis.

Is there anything more i can do to help him?
if he is not itching, yes nothing more, get an allergy test done. a blood count may show high number eosinophils.
